A short game inspired by the dice game Liar's Dice

Story:

You spent the evening at a bar, but unfortunately, you don't have any money to pay your bill. Luckily, the bartender challenges you to a game of Liar's Dice: win the game, and your bill is covered.

Rules:

  • Each player gets five dice.
  • The first player makes a bid by stating a quantity and a face value (e.g., "Five 4s" means the player believes there are at least five 4s in total under all the cups).
  • On your turn, you can raise the bid:
    • Increase the quantity while keeping the same face (from 3 fives to 4 fives).
    • Increase the quantity and change the face (from 3 fives to 4 twos).
    • Keep the same quantity but choose a higher face (from 4 twos to 4 threes).
  • If you don't believe the previous player's bid is correct, you can challenge them by calling Liar!
  • If the actual number of dice showing the bid's face is lower than the bid, the bidder loses a die.
  • If the actual number of dice is equal to or higher than the bid, the challenger loses a die.
  • The player who loses all of their dice loses the game.
  • Each round, players receive a random item that can be used during their turn (e.g., reroll their hand, skip a turn, or reveal a random opponent’s die).

    Controls:

Use the mouse to choose the quantity and face value of your bid at the bottom center of the screen, then confirm it using the Bid button at the bottom left.

You can call the bartender a liar using the Call Liar button at the bottom left.

You can start a new game using the button in the top-left corner or close the game using the button in the top-right corner.
